WET SEASON
Wet season means
Hard work in the field –
Waking up before it dawns
To weed, sow and harvest –
If there must be plenty
And enough to eat.
But for the lazy it is not so.
For them, it is
Longer stay in bed,
End of the day’s job,
And dreams for a better pay.
And so they love it.
