POEM OF THE MONTH FOR MAY, 2013 WRITTEN AND READ BY KEMI BAKARE AT LOUDTHOTZ POETRY OPEN READING S4E5 'NOW"

 FORGIVE ME NOT
I love it when the sky fashion white
for that's my feasting time
to pick up books
and feed my brain in full

check the colour of my vision
from the ancient me
to the infant me
to this teenage me
you'll harvest me healthy enough
to throne my tiny world

so I'll forgive me not
if i put me in a hut
that speaks not
of my vision
and give no room, to my passion

gather me mountains of pie
to buy me out of my line
you'll see me in an ogre
searching my favourite mud

mud is to thought
as thought is to action
accept it or not
I'll drown in my own conviction

so I'll forgive me not
if i put me in a hut
that speaks not
of my vision
and give no room
to my passion

come, let me slice you the fact of life
where only the fittest survive
for vacillated heart can no find crumb of victory
even when loaded with skills

come, let me slice you the reality of life
where passionate bones reach for height and find space in mumble
where lazy bones feet a ground
through connection and the other cloud

so I'll forgive  me not
if I put me in a hut
that speaks not
of my vision
and give no room
to my passion

we cannot find fault in time
whose legs rent a room the cemetery
so paddle with time
every second it ride

don't let the nation's tongue
seal your victory song
into the anus of illusion
for your talent is not a fiction
so burn hotter than sirocco
and make procrastination your foe

for you'll forgive you not
if you put you in a hut
that speaks not
of your vision
and give no room
to your passion.
